Golchehr Amini, a graduate student of Amirkabir University and executer of the project of “Theoretical and Experimental Study of Water Transmission in Hydrophilic-Hydrophobic Nanofibrous Hybrid Layer” said: the breathable hydrophobic membrane is used in many fields such as water treatment membrane, medical textile (hospital scrubs), and protection textile. These membranes have the ability of transmitting the steam while being waterproof.
She said: The membrane protects the person who wears it against the vapor of organic solutions and the particles available in the environment that transmit a person’s sweat outside the clothes and keeps the body cool and dry to prevent any thermal tension in the body of the person wearing them.
The supervisors of this project were Mr. Mohammad Karimi, Ph.D., Mr. Farzin Zakaei Ashtiyani, Ph.D., faculty members of the AUT.
