Department of Maritime Engineering is one of the seventeen faculties at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) which is recognized for its exemplary academic and research programs in the strategic fields of marine technology. This department is the first independent institution uniquely established for teaching marine technologies and sciences including ships and offshore structures in Iran. Maintaining high standard engineering discipline and adherence to the missions of the university are the basis of activities in Department of Maritime Engineering.
